However, if you are cruising in other areas of the globe, satellite signals are only available from older types of satellites with less powerful spot beams. The Advanced Digital Control Unit (SCDU) included with KVH’s award-winning GyroTrac provides the TracVision G6 with a
powerful, user-friendly LCD interface. With this interface, TracVision G6 owners can select from a large library of
pre-programmed satellites, including DIRECTV, DISH Network, and ExpressVu in North America, DIRECTV Latin America, and
Astra, Astra-2, Hispasat, Hotbird, Sirius, and Thor in Europe. As KVH continues testing TracVision G6 around the world and with
different services, additional satellite service options, such as those serving Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and the Middle East,
will be added to the system’s satellite library. In addition, the library offers easy-to-use positions for user-defined satellites,
ensuring that TracVision G6 owners can easily save and access their preferred satellites, even if it isn’t part of the standard,
pre-programmed package.
