The radar images and targets are overlaid on highly detailed C-Map charts in a transparent color. This allows the user to visually identify all chart detail under the radar image. Click the image at right for a larger sample.

Multiple Radars supported on HSB II.

    With Pathfinder Plus, 2 or more radar antennas can be configured in the system. A simple menu selection identifies which radar display sends data over the High Speed Bus.

Multiple Sounders supported on HSB II.

    Two complete Echosounders can be utilized in a system and a menu selection of “Master or Repeater” is all that is necessary.

Plug & Play radar antennas.

    Any Pathfinder radar display will automatically configure itself with any Pathfinder Radome or Open Array antenna from 2KW to 10KW. And all use the same radar cable.

Alphanumeric Waypoint entry.

    A single ST80 Navigator keypad allows direct Lat/Lon or TD waypoint entry and provides a “cell phone-like” keypad for waypoint naming. One keypad will control as many displays as necessary.

    With the touch of a button, the color screen is transformed into “soft” reds and blues with full control of backlighting. In addition, as the screen backlight is decreased, the keypad lighting automatically increases to a specified level and then automatically decreases as the screen backlighting approaches it's lowest level.

MARPA Standard on all Pathfinder radars.

     Raymarine's “Mini Automatic Radar Plotting Aid” for tracking up to 10 targets on the radar display is now standard on all Pathfinders.

All Pathfinder Displays are available with or without Chart Readers.

     No need for the customer to pay for additional chart readers in a system. All radars, fishfinders and GPS plotters can be purchased with or without built-in chart readers. This allows displays without chart readers to be installed in “wet” locations and still have access to all chart cards in the system.

WAAS GPS Supported.

     All Pathfinder Plus units are WAAS GPS compatible. This is very helpful as the main “ingredient” for accurate radar/chart overlay is a highly accurate GPS position.

Read/Write to blank C-Cards.

     All new Pathfinder Plus units have the ability to read and write waypoint, route and tracking data to blank C-Cards. Great for cruise clubs as one card can be created with the entire cruise-plan and then up-loaded to all the other member's systems. It can also be used in conjunction with RayTech Navigator software to plan an entire trip on a laptop and then easily up-loaded to the boat's Pathfinder Plus system.

All Color Displays are Full VGA.

     Most all manufacturer's 10.4” color displays are full VGA (640 X 480 pixels), but with Raymarine's Pathfinder series, even the 7” Color displays are FULL VGA (4 times the screen resolution of typical 7” color units).

Unparalleled Radar Performance.

     Raymarine's Pathfinder series of radars incorporate the latest technology in radar transmitter/receiver design. Narrower horizontal beam-widths for better target separation, 8 different transmit pulse widths for better target resolution in each radar range, and extremely low-noise (less than 5 db) receivers that boast 5 different IF Bandwidths.

    Hsb 2 is available as an upgrade for all existing hsb systems. For an existing system with 2 displays, you will only need a software upgrade. This software upgrade can be performed on the boat without removing the equipment. For vessels that want more that 2 displays the units will need to go back to the factory for a flat rate hardware and software upgrade.
